Nicholas Landrum

Nicholas LandrumMusicaNova Composition Fellow Nicholas Landrum (b. 1987) is a composer of concert and sacred music. His many awards include first prize in the Trinity Missa Brevis Competition and the Ruth and Raymond Young award from Westminster Choir College; he was most recently a finalist for the ASCAP Morton Gould awards.  Nicholas has received commissions from the North Coast Winds in Cleveland, the historic Tenth Presbyterian Church of Philadelphia, members of the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, as well as the Sydney and the Arkansas Symphonies. He is currently a doctoral candidate and associate instructor of composition at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Previously he received his master’s degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he studied composition and electronic music, and his bachelor’s from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ.
